Product Overview
Menzolit® SMC 0190 is a glass fibre-reinforced sheet moulding compound based on unsaturated polyester resin. It contains mineral fillers and is designed for safe, durable and high-performance electrical and transport components, meeting highest industry standards. The material does not melt or form droplets in case of fire, with minimal smoke generation. Compression moulded in heated steel moulds, it is ideal for wiring cabinets, structural electrical components and mass transport applications.

SMC 0190 combines high stiffness and strength with low shrinkage for reliable, precise component production. It is suitable for continuous service up to 165 °C, with excellent heat distortion resistance (>200 °C). The compound exhibits very low water absorption (<0.5%), high electrical insulation (Surface resistivity: 10¹² Ω), and reliable flame retardancy. Its balanced mechanical and thermal properties make it ideal for structural electrical and mass transport applications.

Menzolit® SMC 0190 should be compression-moulded using heated steel moulds, preferably with chrome-plated tools. Maintain recommended temperature and pressure for optimal curing. Store in a dry environment.
