Product Overview

Menzolit® HPC 1200 is a specially formulated sheet moulding compound (SMC) combining chopped, random, and continuous unidirectional glass fibres. It delivers exceptional strength and stiffness along the fibre orientation while maintaining good mouldability. The compound is fire-retardant, non-melting, and produces minimal smoke in case of fire.

HPC 1200 is compression moulded in heated steel moulds, with chrome-plated tools recommended for use. Designers must consider the material’s anisotropic flow and fibre orientation during part design. Supplied on rolls with styrene barrier film, the material has specific handling and storage guidelines. Technical support is available for processing, moulding, testing, and troubleshooting, ensuring optimal application performance.
