Product Overview

Menzolit® BMC 0400 is a bulk moulding compound based on unsaturated polyester resin, reinforced with glass fibres and filled with minerals. It is designed for Class-A automotive body panels requiring excellent paintable surfaces. The compound maintains its integrity during high-temperature exposure and does not melt, drip or emit excessive smoke when exposed to fire.

BMC 0400 combines excellent mechanical and thermal stability with very low shrinkage (expansion), making it suitable for precision applications with excellent paintable surface. Its dimensional stability and resistance to heat provide consistent performance in demanding environments. It is supplied ready-to-use for injection moulding with optimal processing guidance.

Menzolit® BMC 0400 is processed via injection moulding using chrome-plated tools at recommended temperatures and pressures. Handle and store in styrene-tight bags in dry conditions; shelf life guidance is available on request. Technical support is available for datasheets, testing, and design assistance.
